A new chapter for Lounge Lovers. The Edit by Emma & Gareth Mulholland
Fashion designer Emma Mulholland, founder of Em on Holiday, and her husband, artist Gareth Mulholland, approach interiors much like their creative work, with a sense of freedom and fun.
Known for their playful use of colour and nostalgic references, they bring the same relaxed confidence that defines their art and fashion into the home.

“For me, it’s a lot like designing a collection,” Emma says. “I start with a mood or feeling - is it playful, nostalgic, calming, or bold? Comfort and ease are just as important as aesthetics; it needs to work for everyday life, not just look good in a photo.”
“Function and mood come first,” she adds. “With a baby in the house, comfort is just as important as aesthetics.”

That mindset shaped their Edit, a space defined by warmth, texture and a quiet touch of personality. The Bronte Natural Dining Table sets the foundation: solid, warm, and generous in scale. Around it, the Ollie Dining Chairs in oak and beige, offer a timeless yet modern touch.
The Graze Sideboard and Mindi Bookshelf complete the look, grounding the space with texture and balance against a sun-hued artwork and collected treasures.
“These pieces bring joy and still work for everyday life,” Emma says. “The Lounge Lovers pieces give me that foundation to layer on my personality without it tipping into chaos”.

There’s a lived-in ease to their Edit, a reminder that beautiful spaces are meant to be used.
“I think people are moving towards spaces that feel more personal and layered rather than showroom-perfect,” she says, “and Lounge Lovers captures that perfectly, with timeless shapes that can be lived in and still leave room for your quirks.”
